“There is a pressure to always look your best and physical appearance is important. But in terms of forming an opinion about a person I look beyond physical appearance,” says Shikha when talking about the importance of appearance. She says a lot about someone’s character is revealed in how you treat people. “Whenever I meet someone, I look at how they treat the people around them. I also see if they are doing it just for the camera or if they are genuinely kind to people,” says Shikha.

The actress feels that good looks alone cannot make a lasting impression. “Far more important qualities are someone’s energy, behaviour and ability to make people comfortable, she says. “It doesn’t matter if someone is good looking and they don’t have good vibes. “I wouldn’t want that person,” she says.
Kindness and empathy are at the very top of Shikha’s list of things she values in people. She believes that these qualities are more important to a person’s overall personality than physical appearance.

The actress also admits that she is naturally drawn to confident and sure of themselves people. In her opinion, confidence isn’t just about how a person presents themselves, but also the good they can do for those they meet. “I like confident people, people who are self-assured. A person who is confident and self-assured will always lift you up. So I would go for those kinds of people as friends or colleagues,” she says.
Shikha says, “Through her lens, I see that the entertainment industry’s focus on looks doesn’t necessarily define how I judge people. For her, the things that still leave a better impression are real kindness, empathy, confidence and positive energy.
